Share
If you need a certified translation in the UK, one of the best places to start is the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI). But how do you actually find a qualified translator on the ITI website? Here is a quick guide, with Chinese to English translator as an example.
1. Visit the ITI Directory
Go to the ITI Directory and select Find a translator.

2. Choose Your Language Pair and Direction of Translation
If you need a document translated from Chinese into English, select: Chinese → English, and click Search directory.

3. Check the Translator's Profile
All the translators displayed are either qualified members (MITI) or fellows (FITI). Both MITI and FITI are qualified to deliver certified translation. Take a look at the translators' profile, and ask for quotes and turnaround times from several translators before deciding on one to go with.
